All of us at L.I.G.H.T. mourn the loss of LUCY Ferrara-Vatter.  LUCY is the GreyHound who "Started it all" in the formation of  Long Island GreyHound Transfer.  Her rescue and all of the hardships involved in getting her from her racing kennel prompted the need for a rescue-intermediary.  And so L.I.G.H.T. was born with LUCY as our official AMBASSADOG.  We will always remember the "Feisty Little Red Head" with fond memories.
